Staff
The staff at the library are just for you and you can always ask them for help!
The staff help you to find information on a subject you are interested in or when you want to find something nice to read. They also offer guidance on how to use the library and how to find material you are looking for or the shelves, where it can be found.
Library Card
A library card is available to everyone who provides the information requested by the library on the application and who can provide proof of his or her identity. Under 15-years-old people are requested to have their guardian’s signature and contact details on the application.
Story Time Sessions
Story Time Sessions are organised at the Main Library as well as at the library’s local branches where 3-6 years old children are welcome to listen to the stories. At the Main Library, the Story Time Sessions are held in the fairytale room “Peukaloinen” at the Children’s Department. There are no Story Time Sessions during school holidays.
Listening to Stories and Music
There is a listening point in the Children’s and Young Adult’s Department where customers can listen to stories and music.
Internet PC and CD-ROM Games Computer
There is a computer with Internet connection for customer use in the Children’s and Young Adult’s Department. This computer is meant for the use of children under the age of 15 and it can be booked for one hour at the time. The Children’s Department has also one computer that can be used to play CD-ROM games and it does not need to be pre-booked.
