During this spring Sinfonia Finlandia Jyväskylä will give many joyful events

During this spring Sinfonia Finlandia Jyväskylä will celebrate Robert Schumann for his two hundredth anniversary. Swedish trombone virtuoso Christian Lindberg will also appear as conductor and as composer. An important event will be in February when we will hear Ludwig van Beethoven's majestic Symphony No. 9.

Otherwise the program consists of classical and romantic music and of course the music of our time. For the first time we will hear a new symphony by Pekka Kostiainen. In the early days of January the audience will be pampered by new tango melodies together with the Otra Vez ensemble. Chief conductor Patrick Gallois will also appear as flautist both in the concert and in the recording session.
