New Year’s reception 31 December in Kirkkopuisto, open to all

City of Jyväskylä organizes a New Year’s reception on Thursday 31 December at 23:25 – 0:00 at Kirkkopuisto parade square (the church park at the city center). Just before the reception the Jyväskylä parish holds a New Year’s night worship at 23:00-23:30 in the City Church.

New Year’s reception’s programme

• Music, local artists from Jyväskylä region at the stage: Joni Saukkoriipi Quartet, soloists Annika Eklund and TakeAway
• Mayor Markku Andersson’s new year speech from the City Hall balcony
• National anthem (sing-along)
• Fireworks at 00:00

Notice, own private fireworks are forbidden in the city center area (Yliopistonkatu – Harjukatu – Tapionkatu – Puutarhakatu – Tourukatu – Heikinkatu – Rantaväylä – Vaasankatu – Hannikaisenkatu - Haarakatu – Seminaarinkatu – Vaasankatu)
