Jyväskylä Public Library implements a new electronic newspaper service

Library customers are able to select, free of charge, from 350 newspapers in different languages

Jyväskylä Public Library has acquired the Library PressDisplay service offered by NewspaperDirect. The database comprises around 350 newspapers from 68 countries and in 37 languages, as full facsimile editions. The service's newspaper list includes, for instance, Dagens Nyheter, Der Tagesspiegel, Gazeta, Le Figaro and The Wall Street Journal.

The whole range can be viewed by visiting the PressDisplay web site at www.pressdisplay.com. From the website, one can also read newspapers' front pages for free. Newspapers can be read in full and free of charge using library computers. At the moment, the library has a licence for three simultaneous users.

The PressDisplay service is available in the Main Library and every branch library. Please ask library staff for further advice and guidance in using the new database. Come and familiarise yourself with the new service!
